Sticks Safe
Is the magnet test enough (i.e., it sticks to bottom of pot) to be sure that it is safe for induction cooking?
I am moving into a place with an induction cooktop. I have an old but good set of Lagostina pots. I can’t do the magnet test just yet (b/c they are currently packed) but I tried it on a cheap ikea pot and it stuck strong (it didn’t stick to my nice frying pan – oh well). I just want to be sure that this is sufficient and there is nothing else I should be aware of.

The pans must definately be magnetic to work on an induction hob as i have one myself. If it isn’t magnetic the heat can’t penetrate through the metal.
