Im leaving tomorrow(june 1st) do you think ill be ok just to pack khaki cargo shorts and a couple pair of jean?
i am leaving for air force basic training. I have some toiletries and underwear, socks, and shower shoes and paper work already.
Bring 2 pairs of loose jeans that actually fit your waist, and 4 plain tee-shirt that are long enough to tuck in. Don’t bring shorts. You’ll probably also want a sweatshirt. When I shipped, I expected it to be hot, but I was surprised how cold it was and how much it rained in September. There’s also a tropical storm on it’s way, and Lackland usually gets a good chunk of rain from them, too.
Best of luck to you. Just remember to keep your mouth shut, and take it one minute at a time. You’ll make it, just like everyone of us has.
