Shower Birthday
Would it be ok to have a birthday party for my son and a baby shower together ?
My son is going to be turning 3 on June 1 st and my daughter is going to be born by c-section on the 3rd. Would it be “acceptable” to have a birthday party/baby shower? My husband has been looking for a job since January and just got one so I don’t have a lot of things for the baby. He has recently found a job but there is not much time left. Should I do it the baby is born or after?I could actually have like a double birthday party.
You already have a child, baby showers are customarily just for the first child OR if there is a large age gap between siblings. AND it’s tacky to give yourself a “shower”. Heck just call your friends and ask for presents.
You should keep your son’s birthday separate, it’s his day. It would be too confusing for him.
