why were all strawberry shortcake dolls removed form Target and Walmart stores.?

I went get some Strawberry Shortcake dolls for a birthday party my daughter was invited to and cannot find them anywhere. The sales person at Target said they were told to remove them from the shelves and that he didn’t know why. I wouldn’t think this odd except the same thing happened yesterday at Walmart.
