Raffia Grass
Where can I find the same kind of straw broom used to sweep the Wicked Witch of "The Wizard of Oz?
I seen some Grass skirts on television that look and move like straw broom in the movie, but not lucky enough to find. The raffia is too fresh straw and regular too steep. I do prop reproduction and this is my current project. I am also a consultant for both silver rings that fit around straw. Thank you! I have several arts and crafts stores have tried over the years and no such particles of straw or grass seen.
Cracker Barrel restaurant sells a broom, which looks like the evil Witch. They are a big chain, so hopefully there's one in your area.
