I need a cheaper halloween costume?
I need a really cute halloween costume at a very affordable price. My family’s budget is kinda tight right now. I want to be either a bumble bee, a “pink punk pirate” (or something along those lines) or a fairy. However, everywhere I look they are around $40! I really do not want to make an outfit. Where are some good stores other than target and walmart?
What I used to do was go to thrift stores and look for interesting clothes. See if you can find things that match your ideas, then all you would have to do is buy accessories. Here’s an example:
Bumblebee:
found a cute yellow sweatshirt, black leggings, and some crazy yellow boots from the 60′s!
Now go to a Halloween store (or better yet, Family Dollar or Walmart) to get wings and antennas (usually sold together).
Get some face paint or some cheap make up to do your face. Wear your hair in two ponytails or pigtails.
Voila!
See how easy it can be? With a little imagination and patience, you can put together an AWESOME costume for next to NOTHING!
