First mod to my new 1995 gt mustang?
My dad doesn’t really approve of me modding my car and my mom simply doesn’t care, so he doesn’t teach me anything about my car so ive had to learn most of it by myself, so i guess my question is what is the first mod i should do to it, i dont want any dumb answers like “get a turbo” or “NOS”. I mean like under drive pulleys, exhaust, gears, throttle Body, CAI, that kind of stuff. Oh yea its an automatic.
The first thing you should look into is a good aftermarket cat back exhaust system. They are bolt on deals, and easily installed in your driveway, plus it’ll make the car sound very nice. Next thing would be swapping the rear gears out for some thing a little more aggressive, say 3.73. After that, go with a CAI and a 70 MM throttle body to help wake up the 5.0. Unfortunately the ’94-’95 does not have has much tunability as the Fox body Mustangs, this is due to the computer, they are kind of touchy. But you can find shops that set up a nice chip for you. That will allow you to get better firmer shifts from the AODE in the car. Under drive pulleys are fine, but if you do a lot of driving in traffic or hot weather, watch out for the alternator not charging as well since it turns slower and same with the water pump, watch the temps.
