Why does my dark red paint look hot pink in the can?
Ok, so I have had the store mix my paint 3 different times now, and in the can it looks hot pink, I didn’t want a pink base, or a purple color either. I wanted a deep dark blood red. And, I got the new paint home, and my fiance says it looks too purplish burgundy??? Why does it look like this? And why is it dark hot pink in the can?
well, have you tried it on the walls, or somewhere and just let it dry?
because i had the same problem, and kept going back, but the mixing guy told me that it is just how the paint is, the colours on the paint chips are dry,
and the paint deepens in colour while it drys.
it gets allot darker when it’s on the walls and it’s drying. if that doesn’t work, sorry, and you may need to try a different store???
