Favor Nip
My dog is favoring his back left leg..?
I’ve touched it all over and it seems nothing is wrong with it. Although we did cut out two pebbles/rocks between his toes. My nephew fell on his paw today and he nipped at him but if I or my husband touches it he is calm. I’d like to know what to do. I’ve washed it, soaked it and completely inspected it. Bear in mind he is a mini schnauzer so he is very high strung…lots of energy..Please Help!!! What should I do?
He may just have bruised his pads or or toes. The rocks would cause bruising, especially if embedded between his toes for any length of time. If this lasts longer than a few days I would take him to the vet.
Addendum: Rocks in between toes will cause bruising and lameness, as well a pulled muscle, tendon. Rest is the only, and the best remedy. You can take him to vet if it will put your worries to rest.
