Cupcake Baking
Is it necessary to use muffin tins while baking cupcake in cupcake liners/papers/silicon cups?

Was just wondering if i can do without the tin and just place the filled cupcake liners in the oven to make cupcakes? Would it still be the same when baked? If not..how?
eagle misinterpreted. i mean NO muffin tins but paper liners. :)
ah okay thanks ;)

Using the muffin tins helps to contain the shape. But you can also just use the paper cups without the muffin tin.

The trick is the amount of dough that you put it in. Dont put the dough till the rim of the paper cup. It will overflow and make the cupcake out of shape.

Put abt 1/2 or 3/4 full only. This is to allow space for the dough to rise. As long as the dough has space, it will bake and remain in the shape of the paper cups.

Have fun!
