Bright Glowsticks
Would this be suitable for a happy hardcore rave?
Hi, going to a rave on fri. Never been to one before but mate wanted to go and thought i’d go for the experience 
anyway, was thinking of wearing denim hotpants, white strappy top with a neon pink bra, white lace up plimsoles (or dolly shoes depending what i can find) with loads of bright/uv jewellery and glowsticks. Is this ok?
No, isn’t an under 18′s event. And think it might be happy hardcore, don’t know, called fusion and in bmouth.
Anything colorful, crazy, and somewhat slutty is good for a girl to wear at a rave. I think your outfit sounds cute! Just a bit of advice: unless you are hispanic avoid wearing tutu’s. It’s a hispanic trademark in the rave scene and you will get dirty looks if you are a different race wearing a tutu haha.

Since it is your first rave I will offer some advice if that’s okay…
The bracelets you are going to wear signify that you are part of the group called “Kandi Kids” (I am one of them). They are known for believing in P.L.U.R. which stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. They are always bubbly, friendly, and energetic. The bracelets and necklaces they wear are things they have made or were given to them at a rave… they are symbols of friendship, unity, and help people to remember the raves they have been to and who gave it to them. I would go to walmart, hobby lobby, michaels, or any craft store and buy some pony beads, beads with letters on them or any kind of colorful and cute beads, and some stretchy string. Make a bunch of kandi jewelery that say things on them or are just a cool color pattern and wear them at the rave. People will come up to you and ask you if you would like to trade a piece of kandi… it’s a cool way of saying, “hey, you’re my new friend!” (:

Drink a lot of water because dehydration is your worst enemy.
Eat before you go.
If you are going to roll don’t drink too much water or too little of water (read info at ecstasy.org), take breaks from dancing, don’t set your drink down because people have been known to slip things in it at raves.. my DJ friend got ruffeed after his set. Don’t take anything unless you know it is from a trusted source and check the pills you buy at pillreports.com before you take them! There are a lot of fake pills out there.
Go with a group of people and STICK TOGETHER. I can’t stress that enough… losing your group at a big rave is the worst feeling in the world.
Bring about $20 with you and keep it in your bra. You’ll need it for water.
Wear comfortable shoes.. I wore heels to a rave and my feet got so cut up. :/
Wear light clothing. You’ll be sweating bullets.
Don’t bring in a jacket or a purse. Trust me, bad idea.
