Best Birthday Party Ideas

Planning a birthday party for children who are five years and older can be quite easy because parents usually know about their favorite theme. You could simply pick their favorite movie or cartoon character or go for the wildly popular princess theme for a little girl. However, if you need to plan a party for your toddler; now, this one can be tough. So, here is a look at the best birthday party ideas for toddlers.

The DINO party

The dino (dinosaur) party is a particularly popular theme. What toddler does not love the ferocious prehistoric reptiles?

The best part is that you have a lot of options for just about everything when hosting a dino theme party; from the invitations to the food and the decor. For instance, you could use a fine grit sand paper with words such as “you are invited to the biggest excavation in (name of neighborhood) to celebrate the birthday of (name of child). Another idea for an appropriate invitation card would be to use the picture of your little ferocious T-Rex in costume and in his most fearsome pose. Inside the card, mention the date, time and location with words such as ” invitation to (name of the child invited) to see (name of the birthday boy)-o-sauraus.

For decor, create dinosaur footprints of various shapes and colors leading to the party area. The sidewalk to your house can be perfect for the footprints while the party venue should be decorated with cardboard cutouts of dinosaurs and of course, some greenery in the form of artificial vines. You could also include cutouts of trees, etc.

To create dazzling effects, include a volcano or two made from construction paper or poster board. You will need some steam or lava, so just use some white or red balloons. You will also need some green and yellow balloons in between the vines and this should complete your decor.

It’s an excavation so you will definitely need a cave. Make one up with large boxes attached to each other with heavy duty tape; the kids should be able to crawl inside. Put some sand in if you are outside or use some uncooked rice for an indoor party. Bury some dino bones made from poster board or even small dinosaur figurines. The team that can find the most bones and figurines gets a price.

Your menu could include cake in the dino theme, smoothies made from mango or a lava red fruit punch along with chocolate banana pops and veggie platter or meatballs (for carnivores). This is one of the best birthday party ideas for toddlers and remarkably easy to pull off.

Other Best Birthday party Ideas For Toddlers

Other best birthday party ideas for toddlers that are easy to plan yet can be a lot of fun include:

Water parties: What do toddlers love as much as their dinosaurs and toys? Why, water guns of course. This can be a wild party with lots of giggling and frolicking toddlers. Use balloons in blue for decor and add an inflatable backyard pool. Bring out the water guns and you can have a rocking party.

Chocolate: The name says it all. Everything should be chocolaty for this event, from brown balloons to a chocolate fountain that can be tried out with favorite fruits, sweet bread and cakes. For entertainment, the kids can hunt for their favorite chocolates hidden all over the house or you could even have a treasure hunt that leads to a box of choices.

These are just some of the best birthday party ideas for toddlers. With a little bit of imagination, you could come up with your own fun themes for your toddler’s big day.

Songs of Free Men / A Paul Robeson Recital

There was nothing like the Robeson sound, ever. To describe his deep, rich, perfectly equalized instrument is futile. Robeson was at his best when the music was slow and the words contained spiritual or social messages. Faster, lighter fare like Kern’s “I Still Suit…
