Is it legal to get a picture printed on a tshirt that doesnt belong to you?
Okay so my boyfriend is obsesssed with family guy. So for his birthday I want to make him a custom shirt with a picture of his favorite scene from the show and his favorite quote below it. Is that legal to make or do you need to have permission? I obviously am not going to call the creator I just want to know if its legal or not before it gets to late and I need to think of something else haha. thanks!
Technically yes BUT no need to worry about the police knocking down your door since it’s not like you’re selling a bunch of stuff with the images on them, it’s one shirt being made as a gift. People do stuff like that all the time. Go ahead and do it.
