Beer Mug
help decorating a cake shaped like a beer mug!?

it’s kinda rounded at the top and has indentations. i’m thinking it has to do with the pan and the indentations are done when i ice the cake.
help please!!!
or how would you suggest i go about making this cake?
Make 2 or three rectangle sheet cakes…like 9X12 or something of that measurement and once cooled all the way, stack them on top of each other and have the size and shape of the beer mug already drawn out on a sheet of paper and lay over it and kinda cut the shape of it first, like tracing. Then you can carve the cake to be rounded, might take some time but I watch ‘Ace of Cakes’ all the time and they have little knives and that’s how they make them.
I would make the mug first then if you have decent sized left over cake pieces from you tracing and carving then mold those into a handle if you can, or you can make a fake one (like in the pic it looks like) with icing later. I would make the indention’s of the mug with the icing, cover it with the dark yellow first then go back over with extra icing and get a big spoon and start at the top and bring it down over the icing to make those indention’s…then make you handle with a fat icing topper, and get whip cream and put in a icing back or the can would work and make the foam on top. It will not matter if its perfect or not, the thought is always the best present. Plus the uniqueness will be most appreciated! GL and have fun!
