Baseball Party

Party for Both Chicago Baseball Teams?
Am I the only one irked that the City of Chicago threw the Cubs a season ending party and now that the White Sox are in the post season as well what do they get? Shouldn’t the City have waited to see the result of yesterdays Tie Breaker game. That would have been fair. Well Daley is Cubs fan anyway so what should I expect from him.
Daley is a Cubs fan? Exactly which Daley are you referring to? Cause it sure as hell can’t be the Mayor – who grew up in Bridgeport and, along with his late father, is a die hard White Sox fan.
And you do realize, being an intelligent Chicagoan, that there are a good number of White Sox and Cubs fans that truly hate fans of the other team. Not that it makes any sense, but would you have really wanted to pack a bunch of rival fans into Daley Center all at once?
And did nort the Sox just clinch their playoff berth last night? Would you honestly expect the Cubs to want a rally just a few hours before their first playoff game? And, assuming you are a White Sox fan, do you really want your team delaying their trip to Tampa to attend such a rally, or would you rather they get down there, probably get a workout in today at the Tropicana Dome amd be well rested for tomorrow’s game?
Perhaps rather then just blindly ranting about things, you should think about how it would have effected your team should such a thing had taken place. And perhaps you should try to learn a few simple facts about Daley before you call him a Cubs fan. Anyone that pays any attention would know that Daley has actually fought the Cubs ono just about everything they have tried to do – all the way from installing the lights in 1988 to the recent bleacher expansion. This from a mayor who, while fighting every change the Cubs wanted to implement, was fighting for the State of Illinois to use public funds to give the Sox a new ballpark at no cost to them. How anyone would ever come up with the idea that this man is a Cubs fan is beyond me – they are either incredible blind, or just completely uninformed.
Thanks for playing though – have a great day, and good luck against the Rays.
